Prizes and rules

These rules are a working draft for the YoloSesh leaderboard ("the board") and sponsored challenges. Dates, prize amounts, eligible regions, and the sponsor of record for each prize are to be determined and will be stated in the final rules.

• Install the YoloSesh desktop app and sign in with a GitHub account.
• Connect your own OpenRouter key through the app, or use credits you buy or receive in the app.
• Accept the leaderboard rules in the app. You're on the board once verified usage arrives.
• To enter a sponsored challenge, open Challenges in the app, pick one, and accept its rules.

To be prize-eligible you must, at the time of entry and prize award:

• Have a GitHub-linked YoloSesh account in good standing.
• Send usage through the app with your own OpenRouter key or in-app credits (see below).
• Have accepted the current rules in the app.
• Meet a minimum account age (placeholder: 14 days before the season or challenge starts).
• For the seasonal board, hold an active Pro plan during the season. Draft note: counsel must confirm this alongside a free method of entry before any prize-eligible season starts.
• Be of the age of majority where you live and not be located in a region where the contest is void (list TBD).
• Not be an employee, contractor, or immediate family member of YoloSesh or the challenge sponsor.

Builders who don't meet these criteria can still appear on the board. Prize-eligible rows show a trophy.

• Only OpenRouter usage made through the YoloSesh app counts. Usage outside the app, from other tools, or reported by hand never counts.
• The board ranks by tokens (prompt plus completion) as OpenRouter reports them for your requests. Ties share a rank.
• Periods are rolling UTC windows ending today: today, the last 7 days, the last 30 days, and all time. Seasons run on published dates, counted in whole UTC days.
• Streaks count consecutive UTC days with verified usage, ending today (or yesterday if today has none yet).
• Usage may take a few minutes to appear. Totals are final when the season or challenge closes and review is complete.

• No purchase necessary. Where a challenge offers sponsor-funded entry credits, you can enter and compete using only those credits. A free method of entry will be described in the final rules for every prize-eligible season.
• Usage paid with your own key, with credits you buy, and with sponsor credits all count the same way.
• Per-season cap on paid spend. Only a capped amount of paid usage per builder per season counts toward prizes (placeholder: USD 250). Usage above the cap still shows on the board but doesn't improve prize standing.
• Sponsor credits are single-use, non-transferable, have no cash value, and expire when the challenge ends.

• Each challenge page names its sponsor, window, prize pool, entry credits, and allowed models.
• Only verified usage on the allowed models during the window counts toward that challenge.
• Sponsors cannot influence rankings. YoloSesh runs the board and reviews results; sponsors fund prizes and credits only.

Prizes are to be determined. Final rules will state each prize, its approximate value, how many winners, how ties are broken, how winners are notified, the deadline to claim, and who provides the prize. Winners may need to verify identity and complete tax forms.

Prizes are funded by sponsors, never by user payments. Subscriptions, credits, and usage fees pay for running YoloSesh; no part of them goes into a prize pool.

We may review any entry and disqualify, without a prize, anyone who:

• Runs loops, scripts, or automated traffic whose main purpose is inflating token counts.
• Uses multiple accounts, shared accounts, or keys that belong to someone else.
• Tampers with the app, the gateway, or reported usage, or exploits a bug to gain rank.
• Harasses other builders or impersonates a person, company, or YoloSesh staff.

Decisions after review are final. Suspected abuse can be reported through the app.

You can race anonymously. Anonymous rows show a stable pseudonym (like Anon-7F3A), rank normally, and have no public profile. Prize winners must still verify their identity privately.

Void where prohibited. YoloSesh may change, pause, or cancel the board, a season, or a challenge if it can't run fairly, and will post notice on this site. The final official rules, once published, govern.
